Plume

Write a novel or a screenplay, simply, on your Mac.

Plume is a macOS desktop application for writing novels and screenplays. Simple and local, it keeps your texts as readable files on your Mac, with no account and no server: Markdown writing, organisation into scenes and sections, a codex of characters and places, working notes, word-count goals and automatic backups. For Apple silicon Macs running macOS 13 or later.
